We are often asked, what does sustainability mean?

Webster’s defines it as:

sus·tain·a·bil·i·ty
/səˌstānəˈbilədē/
the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level.
“the sustainability of economic growth”
or,
avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.
“the pursuit of global environmental sustainability”
We like to think of sustainability in the environmental sense and how it relates to the operation of our proposed hotel and commercial project.
Some of our highlights could include:
Following the Green Hotelier operations recommendations
Reducing plastics by offering shampoo, conditioner and body wash in sustainable dispensers
Participating in food waste composting programs like the the one offered through the Monterey Regional Waste Management District.
Using only sustainably caught seafood like those recommended by the Seafood Watch Program.
